Vietnam Frequency Converter Project
Vietnam’s foreign direct investment has accelerated sharply, with registered FDI capital up around 61% in the first half of 2026 to roughly US$34.6 billion, and manufacturing and processing accounting for nearly 60% of newly registered capital. Much of this capital brings imported production equipment from investors’ home markets — and with Vietnam’s grid running at 50Hz, that equipment frequently arrives rated for a different frequency standard than the one it will actually operate on.
With FDI-driven manufacturing capital nearly doubling year-on-year and processing/manufacturing taking the largest share of new registered capital, more imported production lines are arriving in Vietnam than ever — increasing the practical need for frequency conversion to match imported equipment to the local 50Hz grid.
